Broad Construction was appointed as the building contractor to construct the Brisbane South State Secondary College (BSSSC) project in early October 2019.
Part 1 - involved the completion of design development and full construction documentation before the team commenced Part 2 - construction and commissioning of the project in November 2019.
Awarded by Queensland Government, the project is part of the Building Future Schools Fund and will deliver an innovative education for students.
The new secondary school has been equipped with a range of educational facilities, including Learning Hub, Creative Hub, and Health and Wellbeing Hub, a multipurpose hall, Administration and Staff Hub, a canteen, and the Learning Oasis and Active Park with multiple outdoor areas, including a court, car park, pick up and drop off zone and end-of-trip facilities.
