170 Queen Street (previously known as Broadway on the Mall) is a three-level retail centre owned by ISPT with a level of commercial space that is located between Queen Street and Adelaide Street in the heart of Brisbane's CBD retail precinct.
Following submission of the bid documentation to undertake the design and construct project, our core project team delivered a tender interview presentation to ISPT, including animation of design issues and, more importantly, solutions.
A major milestone of the project saw major retail tenant H&M open its flagship store on 13 November 2015 in time for Christmas trading.
ISPT awarded Broad Construction the contract to refurbish the large shopping centre project in March 2015, which involved the complete restoration of the dated Queen Street shopping address, resulting in a fresh, new contemporary retail centre.
Works on refurbishing the existing six-level building began in April 2015 and involved major demolition throughout the building, including the majority of the ground floor, modernisation to the Queen Street facade and all new services to the centre.
The 170 Queen Street redevelopment was the third project undertaken at the mall, having successfully delivered The Regent and 155 Queen Street redevelopment for ISPT.
