The WorkZone development is the third project we’ve constructed for Charter Hall after successfully completing 130 Stirling Street (12,350 sqm) and Alluvion (21,400 sqm) developments in Perth’s CBD.
The briefing for the fit-out involved the establishment of a strategic brief with an emphasis on open plan. The working space has been designed to provide a sense of connection and collaboration, driving business interaction in a bright, modern and visually transparent space, while showcasing the building in a welcoming environment for potential clients and visitors.
The ground floor comprises reception, training, meeting, and breakout spaces; the five upper floors consist of office areas, each with meeting facilities, staff hubs, and breakout areas; the sixth floor consists of multiple meeting rooms with extensive AV and communication facilities to one-half, with the remainder being a large staff hub and recreational facilities.
The fit-out comprised the full implementation of offices; extensive workstation spaces; meeting rooms; and staff facilities; complete with all equipment; specialist building services; cabinetwork; and loose furniture.
A key challenge of the fit-out project was to facilitate the design and documentation to meet the key milestone dates for the base building program. This was managed through close coordination between the fit-out design team and the construction team, which enabled the integration of the fit-out components into the works without any abortive base building works being incurred.
