The University of New England (UNE) awarded Broad a new student college development, located at the Armidale Campus.
Wright College comprises three new accommodation buildings housing 211 beds; common rooms; study rooms; break-out room; laundry; dining facilities; external courtyards and relaxation areas; as well as administrative offices and stores.
The college was constructed using prefabricated bedroom modules, which were completed off-site, transported and craned into position in a completed state. All other areas were constructed using traditional construction methods.
Work commenced in July 2013 and reached practical completion in November 2014.
The site of the new college was within the campus grounds, presenting challenges of working within a live environment and in close proximity to university staff and students.
To safeguard the environment, we worked closely with the university to develop and ensure strict protocols were adhered to and are in compliance with statutory regulations.
