After delivering the 12-storey building (base build) of the Kings Square Tower 2 (KS2) for Leighton Properties Pty Limited, Broad commenced the fit-out of Shell’s new Australian headquarters in May 2015 and achieved practical completion of the project early 2016.
Undertaken for client Shell (Australia) Pty Ltd and housing their new Australian headquarters, the office encompasses 19,500 square metres of floor space.
Throughout the project Broad co-ordinated all aspects, including safety in construction, environmental management during fit-out work and co-ordination of subcontractors. The finished project provided Shell with a turn-key commercial office fit-out.
The project team was heavily involved in a WorkSafe Plan assessment that contributed to Broad receiving the Platinum Certificate of Achievement – the first company to achieve a 100 per cent score since the plan began in 1994.
As part of a continued commitment to recognising and rewarding exemplary practices, Broad awarded safety and quality awards to subcontractors each month throughout the project.
In addition, the number of hours worked on the project totalled over 200,000 and during this period Broad recorded no LTI’s.
This consistent performance and positive outcome are the results of a collaborative effort across our team, everyone working together to ensure the safety and well-being of our colleagues, partners and subcontractors.
A concluding and significant milestone was the installation of the iconic Shell Pecten sign to the top of the Kings Square 2 building, located in Perth’s CBD.
